At City Ballet - San Francisco, our year-round program's main purpose is to provide students with opportunities to grow both in the studio and in professional quality productions to prepare them for a career in ballet.
Every one of our instructors has the credentials and personal experience that qualifies them to teach students to their highest potential.
Professional Division
For Career-Oriented Students
This division offers training to dancers who are pursuing a professional career. The program is for students who are committed, passionate, hard-working and inspiring. They are given all the tools necessary that, when married with consistency and dedication, can lead to a career in ballet.

Classes run Monday - Saturday* (weekdays 2:30 - 7:00pm) and include:

*Participation in our productions (2-3 times a year) is required for every student. Weekend rehearsals are added as needed during pre-production periods.

Pre-Professional Division
Starting at age 8
This division consists of three levels that incrementally continue to refine students' technique with increased performance opportunities and an introduction to pointe when the instructor sees fit. Students are committed to learning and refining the art of ballet through our curriculum.

Classes are 3-6 days a week* ( between 4:00 - 8:00pm) and include:

We offer Premier Vaganova Training taught by an all-star staff of Master Teachers. Students are encouraged to fully realize their potential in an environment that promotes individualized attention to detail for each dancer within the program.
Students are also given performance opportunities in a professional theater environment multiple times throughout the year - an element which is crucial to the development of the young dancer.
