Director Nikolai Kabaniaev has a proven track record of developing young male students into professional dancers. Nikolai graduated from the famed Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia, and went on to dance with the Kirov/Mariinsky Ballet where he worked with some of the world's finest teachers, directors, and choreographers. He is dedicated to passing on his vast knowledge and expertise in classical ballet to each of his students.

Students receive individualized attention, in small classroom settings, with precise attention to detail. In addition to a variety of classes, boys will also receive valuable performance experience in CBSF's productions.

This division offers training to dancers who are pursuing a professional career. The program is for students who are committed, passionate, hard-working and inspiring. They are given all the tools necessary that, when married with consistency and dedication, can lead to a career in ballet.

The curriculum includes: Ballet Technique, Partnering, Variations, Character, Contemporary, Conditioning, Hip Hop, Acting

Students are also given performance opportunities in a professional theater environment periodically throughout the year - an element which is crucial to the development of the young dancer.

Build a solid foundation

This division continues to refine students' technique with increased performance opportunities. Students are committed to learning and refining the art of ballet through our curriculum.

Classes are 4 days a week* ( between 5pm and 7:30pm) and include Ballet Technique and Variations

*Participation in our productions (2-3 times a year) is required for every student. Weekend rehearsals are added as needed during pre-production periods.
