Isabelle Edgar

Isabelle Edgar is a choreographer, dancer, and writer originally from Woods Hole, MA. She began her dance training at Turning Pointe Dance Studio on Cape Cod under the direction of Laura Sciortino, later refining her skills with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago’s Professional Program, Springboard Danse Montreal, and through workshops with Alonzo King LINES Ballet, Nederlands Dans Theater, and Batsheva Dance Company.
Isabelle has collaborated with renowned choreographers including Alex Ketley, Gianna Burright, Lins Derry, and Savannah Dunn, and has performed in works by Kyle Abraham, Rena Butler, Peter Chu, and Bobbi Jene Smith. She is currently a choreographer for the San Francisco-based Three Fools Collective and Stanford Dance Commune. Alongside her dance career, Isabelle is set to graduate with a BA in English from Stanford University.
Since beginning her choreographic journey at age 17, Isabelle’s work has earned prestigious awards, including the Outstanding Choreographer Award at Youth America Grand Prix, Universal Ballet Competition, 24/7 Dance Convention, NYCDA, and Connecticut Classics. Her teaching and choreography emphasize collaboration and improvisation, creating a space where students can explore their unique creativity and storytelling through movement. Isabelle’s approach is rooted in fostering a supportive environment that encourages students to take risks, find their voices, and express themselves through dance.
